Broad technical expertise backed by years of experience
Svenska Tanso AB has been around since 1981 and is the market leader in the Nordic and Baltic countries and on a good way into new countries.
Today we are about 60 employees at our headquarters and production facility in Jönköping, other sales offices are located in Stockholm and Verberg.
Our product areas is graphite and technical carbon for electrical, metallurgical, chemical and mechanical applications, natural/synthetic graphite powder, electrode materials, consumables, spare parts and accessories for electro-discharge machining (EDM), carbon fibres and process materials for the composite field and some ores and metals.
We also have a furnace department performing service, maintenance, temperature and furnace optimization of all commercially available vacuum furnaces.

We invested early on to be quality and environmentally certified according to ISO 9001/14001 and became the first company in the industry with both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
We acquire our graphite materials from the Japanese Toyo Tanso Co., Ltd., whose business group we are part of. Toyo Tanso is a pioneer in the field of synthetic graphite and is today the world’s largest producer of isopressed graphite. This gives us a strong partner supplier of graphite of the highest quality and the ability to deliver products of the utmost class.
Svenska Tanso AB was awarded the DIAMOND DIPLOMA from credit rating company Bisnode (part of Dun & Bradstreet) in 2015, this after having maintained the highest possible credit rating score AAA for more than 20 consecutive years.

2011 Investerar i mer mark för fortsatt framtida expansion
2012 Expanderar ytterligare, EDM divisionen flyttar in i nya egna lokaler
2014 Fortsatt expansion, Ugnsavdelningen flyttar in i nya egna lokaler
2015 Svenska Tanso AB tilldelades DIAMANTDIPLOM av kreditvärderingsbolaget Bisnode, detta efter att ha bibehållit högsta kreditvärdighet AAA i mer än 20 år i följd.
2016 Öppnar försäljningskontor i Karlshamn
2019 Öppnar försäljningskontor i Varberg
2021 Investering i Tanso Produktion System (TPS) och 5-axlig CNC-fräs
